Listen here: “Where Are You?”
Genesis 3:8-15; 2 Corinthians 4:13-5:1
- What were Adam and Eve hiding?
- What did it have to do with the serpent? What had they done?
- God had told Adam not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
- The idea of the tree represents the determination of good and evil for themselves. It represents making moral decisions based on their own knowledge, making moral decisions, knowing good and evil apart from God’s guidance.
- God said, don’t do it!
- Eve, following the advice of the serpent, said that doing so would be “good … and … was a delight to the eyes, and that … (it would) make one wise” (Genesis 3:6).
