Hope is the life blood of the gospel. Hope is future oriented. Hope does not dwell on the past. Hope pulls us into God’s future. Hope lets go of the past.
Holiness is an impossible goal, and is being made more difficult by the media, the government, public education, even some churches. But it is the reason that God sent Jesus to earth. His job is to make people holy.
Paul did not become more faithful as a Christian than he had been as a Jew. The degree of his faith did not change. His passion for truth did not change. His commitment to God did not change.
Can an imaginary story convey a worldly truth? Which is more important: the details of a story, or the moral of the story? Is the moral of the story a higher truth?
