Selah <sup>20&nbsp;<\/sup>Our God <i>is<\/i> the God of salvation; And to GOD the Lord <i>belong<\/i> escapes from death.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff9900\"><em><strong>Ephesians 4:11-13&nbsp; (Amplified Bible)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><sup>11&nbsp;<\/sup>And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers.<\/p>\n<p><sup>12&nbsp;<\/sup>His intention was the perfecting <i>and<\/i> the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ\u2019s body (the church),<\/p>\n<p><sup>13&nbsp;<\/sup>[That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ\u2019s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ <i>and<\/i> the completeness found in Him.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff9900\"><em><strong>2 Corinthians 3:1-12&nbsp; (English Standard Version Anglicised)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><em>Ministers of the New Covenant<\/em><\/h3>\n<p>3&nbsp;Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, as some do, letters of recommendation to you, or from you? <sup>2&nbsp;<\/sup>You yourselves are our letter of recommendation, written on our hearts, to be known and read by all. <sup>3&nbsp;<\/sup>And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.<\/p>\n<p><sup>4&nbsp;<\/sup>Such is the confidence that we have through Christ towards God. <sup>5&nbsp;<\/sup>Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, <sup>6&nbsp;<\/sup>who has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit.
