“God Loves Us”<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Psalm 25:1-10  (Common English Bible)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

25 I offer my life to you, Lord. 2 <\/sup> My God, I trust you. Please don\u2019t let me be put to shame!  Don\u2019t let my enemies rejoice over me! 3 <\/sup>For that matter,  don\u2019t let anyone who hopes in you be put to shame; instead, let those who are treacherous without excuse be put to shame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4 <\/sup>Make your ways known to me, Lord; teach me your paths. 5 <\/sup>Lead me in your truth\u2014teach it to me\u2014because you are the God who saves me.  I put my hope in you all day long. 6 <\/sup>Lord, remember your compassion and faithful love\u2014they are forever! 7 <\/sup>But don\u2019t remember the sins of my youth or my wrongdoing.  Remember me only according to your faithful love       for the sake of your goodness, Lord.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

8 <\/sup>The Lord is good and does the right thing; he teaches sinners which way they should go. 9 <\/sup>God guides the weak to justice, teaching them his way. 10 <\/sup>All the Lord\u2019s paths are loving and faithful for those who keep his covenant and laws.<\/p>\n

Isaiah 9:2-7  (Common English Bible)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n

2 <\/sup> The people walking in darkness have seen a great light.  On those living in a pitch-dark land, light has dawned. 3 <\/sup>You have made the nation great; you have increased its joy. They rejoiced before you as with joy at the harvest, as those who divide plunder rejoice. 4 <\/sup>As on the day of Midian, you\u2019ve shattered the yoke that burdened them, the staff on their shoulders, and the rod of their oppressor. 5 <\/sup>Because every boot of the thundering warriors,  and every garment rolled in blood will be burned, fuel for the fire. 6 <\/sup>A child is born to us, a son is given to us, and authority will be on his shoulders.  He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. 7 <\/sup>There will be vast authority and endless peace for David\u2019s throne and for his kingdom, establishing and sustaining it with justice and righteousness now and forever.<\/p>\n

The zeal of the Lord of heavenly forces will do this.<\/p>\n

John 3:16-21  (Common English Bible)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n

16 <\/sup>God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him won\u2019t perish but will have eternal life. 17 <\/sup>God didn\u2019t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through him. 18 <\/sup>Whoever believes in him isn\u2019t judged; whoever doesn\u2019t believe in him is already judged, because they don\u2019t believe in the name of God\u2019s only Son.<\/p>\n

19 <\/sup>\u201cThis is the basis for judgment: The light came into the world, and people loved darkness more than the light, for their actions are evil. 20 <\/sup>All who do wicked things hate the light and don\u2019t come to the light for fear that their actions will be exposed to the light. 21 <\/sup>Whoever does the truth comes to the light so that it can be seen that their actions were done in God.\u201d<\/p>\n
