Isaiah 55:6-11  (New King James Version)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\n

6 <\/sup>Seek the Lord while He may be found,
\nCall upon Him while He is near.
\n7 <\/sup>Let the wicked forsake his way,
\nAnd the unrighteous man his thoughts;
\nLet him return to the Lord,
\nAnd He will have mercy on him;
\nAnd to our God,
\nFor He will abundantly pardon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

8 <\/sup>\u201cFor My thoughts are<\/i> not your thoughts,
\nNor are<\/i> your ways My ways,\u201d says the Lord.

The Fig Tree Withered<\/em><\/h3>\n

12 <\/sup>Now the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry. 13 <\/sup>And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. 14 <\/sup>In response Jesus said to it, \u201cLet no one eat fruit from you ever again.\u201d<\/p>\n

And His disciples heard it.<\/i><\/p>\n

Jesus Cleanses the Temple<\/em><\/h3>\n

15 <\/sup>So they came to Jerusalem. Then Jesus went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. 16 <\/sup>And He would not allow anyone to carry wares through the temple. 17 <\/sup>Then He taught, saying to them, \u201cIs it not written, \u2018My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations\u2019? But you have made it a \u2018den of thieves.\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n

18 <\/sup>And the scribes and chief priests heard it and sought how they might destroy Him; for they feared Him, because all the people were astonished at His teaching. 19 <\/sup>When evening had come, He went out of the city.<\/p>\n

The Lesson of the Withered Fig Tree<\/em><\/h3>\n

20 <\/sup>Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. 21 <\/sup>And Peter, remembering, said to Him, \u201cRabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.\u201d<\/p>\n

22 <\/sup>So Jesus answered and said to them, \u201cHave faith in God.23 <\/sup>For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, \u2018Be removed and be cast into the sea,\u2019 and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 <\/sup>Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them,<\/i>and you will have them.<\/i><\/p>\n

Forgiveness and Prayer<\/em><\/h3>\n

25 <\/sup>\u201cAnd whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.<\/p>\n
