Build on the Rock<\/em><\/h3>\n

24 <\/sup>\u201cTherefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 <\/sup>and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.<\/p>\n

26 <\/sup>\u201cBut everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 <\/sup>and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.\u201d<\/p>\n

16 <\/sup>Therefore it is<\/i> of faith that it might be<\/i> according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all 17 <\/sup>(as it is written, \u201cI have made you a father of many nations\u201d) in the presence of Him whom he believed\u2014God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; 18 <\/sup>who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, \u201cSo shall your descendants be.\u201d 19 <\/sup>And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah\u2019s womb. 20 <\/sup>He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 <\/sup>and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. 22 <\/sup>And therefore \u201cit was accounted to him for righteousness.\u201d<\/p>\n

23 <\/sup>Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, 24 <\/sup>but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, 25 <\/sup>who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.<\/p>\n

13 <\/sup>No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is<\/i> faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.<\/i><\/p>\n
