People\u2019s tongues were flickering like the flames of fire flicker.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The idea is that they were all talking at the same time about the same thing: about Jesus!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And the tongues were \u201cas of fire.\u201d We could also call it a <em>hot topic<\/em>. People were animated, excited, passionate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And \u201cthe Spirit gave them utterance\u201d (v. 4), the Holy Spirit gave them the words to speak: true words about Jesus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sunday morning messages are available on the website (www.stpaulsmarietta.org\/audio).
