It was an evangelical message to God\u2019s people who were in the midst of trouble and difficulty. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The \u201cday of the Lord\u201d is understood as an historic and cataclysmic event intended to correct the wrongs and injustices that people have perpetuated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>As unreconciled injustice repeatedly happens, injustice creates moral decay that builds up over time in a society, and at some point, like the breaking of a dam, God\u2019s judgment and justice floods the world.
