His words are preserved as a lesson for the following generations, for all who will heed them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>They prayed that God would destroy His enemies and free Israel from oppression.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The message of Amos was that God would do exactly that, but in addition, Amos said, Israel had become an enemy of God, and would also receive God\u2019s judgment.
