John 19:1-9  (English Standard Version)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Jesus Delivered to Be Crucified<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

19 <\/span>Then Pilate took Jesus and flogged him.<\/span> 2 <\/sup>And the soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on his head and arrayed him in a purple robe.<\/span> 3 <\/sup>They came up to him, saying, \u201cHail, King of the Jews!\u201d and struck him with their hands.<\/span> 4 <\/sup>Pilate went out again and said to them, \u201cSee, I am bringing him out to you that you may know that I find no guilt in him.\u201d<\/span> 5 <\/sup>So Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. Pilate said to them, \u201cBehold the man!\u201d<\/span> 6 <\/sup>When the chief priests and the officers saw him, they cried out, \u201cCrucify him, crucify him!\u201d Pilate said to them, \u201cTake him yourselves and crucify him, for I find no guilt in him.\u201d<\/span> 7 <\/sup>The Jews[a<\/a>]<\/sup> answered him, \u201cWe have a law, and according to that law he ought to die because he has made himself the Son of God.\u201d<\/span> 8 <\/sup>When Pilate heard this statement, he was even more afraid.<\/span> 9 <\/sup>He entered his headquarters again and said to Jesus, \u201cWhere are you from?\u201d But Jesus gave him no answer.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
