Genesis 3:8-15  (English Standard Version)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

8 <\/sup>And they heard the sound of the Lord<\/span> God walking in the garden in the cool[a<\/a>]<\/sup> of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord<\/span> God among the trees of the garden.<\/span> 9 <\/sup>But the Lord<\/span>God called to the man and said to him, \u201cWhere are you?\u201d[b<\/a>]<\/sup><\/span> 10 <\/sup>And he said, \u201cI heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself.\u201d<\/span> 11 <\/sup>He said, \u201cWho told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?\u201d<\/span> 12 <\/sup>The man said, \u201cThe woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.\u201d<\/span> 13 <\/sup>Then the Lord<\/span> God said to the woman, \u201cWhat is this that you have done?\u201d The woman said, \u201cThe serpent deceived me, and I ate.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

14 <\/sup>The Lord<\/span> God said to the serpent,<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBecause you have done this,<\/span>
\n    <\/span>cursed are you above all livestock<\/span><\/span>
\n    <\/span>and above all beasts of the field;<\/span><\/span>
\non your belly you shall go,<\/span>
\n    <\/span>and dust you shall eat<\/span><\/span>
\n    <\/span>all the days of your life.<\/span><\/span>
\n15 <\/sup>I will put enmity between you and the woman,<\/span>
\n    <\/span>and between your offspring[c<\/a>]<\/sup> and her offspring;<\/span><\/span>
\nhe shall bruise your head,<\/span>
\n    <\/span>and you shall bruise his heel.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
