Hosea 14:1-9  (New International Version)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Repentance to Bring Blessing<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

14 <\/span>Return, Israel, to the Lord<\/span> your God.<\/span><\/span>
\n    <\/span>Your sins have been your downfall!<\/span><\/span>
\n2 <\/sup>Take words with you<\/span>
\n    <\/span>and return to the Lord<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>
\nSay to him:<\/span>
\n    <\/span>\u201cForgive all our sins<\/span><\/span>
\nand receive us graciously,<\/span>
\n    <\/span>that we may offer the fruit of our lips.<\/span><\/span>
\n3 <\/sup>Assyria cannot save us;<\/span>
\n    <\/span>we will not mount warhorses.<\/span><\/span>
\nWe will never again say \u2018Our gods\u2019<\/span>
\n    <\/span>to what our own hands have made,<\/span><\/span>
\n    <\/span>for in you the fatherless find compassion.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

4 <\/sup>\u201cI will heal their waywardness<\/span>
\n    <\/span>and love them freely,<\/span><\/span>
\n    <\/span>for my anger has turned away from them.<\/span><\/span>
\n5 <\/sup>I will be like the dew to Israel;<\/span>
\n    <\/span>he will blossom like a lily.<\/span><\/span>
\nLike a cedar of Lebanon<\/span>
\n    <\/span>he will send down his roots;<\/span><\/span>
\n6 <\/sup>    <\/span>his young shoots will grow.<\/span><\/span>
\nHis splendor will be like an olive tree,<\/span>
\n    <\/span>his fragrance like a cedar of Lebanon.<\/span><\/span>
\n7 <\/sup>People will dwell again in his shade;<\/span>
\n    <\/span>they will flourish like the grain,<\/span><\/span>
\nthey will blossom like the vine\u2014<\/span>
\n    <\/span>Israel\u2019s fame will be like the wine of Lebanon.<\/span><\/span>
\n8 <\/sup>Ephraim, what more have I to do with idols?<\/span>
\n    <\/span>I will answer him and care for him.<\/span><\/span>
\nI am like a flourishing juniper;<\/span>
\n    <\/span>your fruitfulness comes from me.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

9 <\/sup>Who is wise? Let them realize these things.<\/span>
\n    <\/span>Who is discerning? Let them understand.<\/span><\/span>
\nThe ways of the Lord<\/span> are right;<\/span>
\n    <\/span>the righteous walk in them,<\/span><\/span>
\n    <\/span>but the rebellious stumble in them.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
