Hosea 7:1-10  (New International Version)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n
\n
\n

7 <\/span>1 <\/sup>whenever I would heal Israel,<\/span><\/span>
\nthe sins of Ephraim are exposed<\/span>
\n    <\/span>and the crimes of Samaria revealed.<\/span><\/span>
\nThey practice deceit,<\/span>
\n    <\/span>thieves break into houses,<\/span><\/span>
\n    <\/span>bandits rob in the streets;<\/span><\/span>
\n2 <\/sup>but they do not realize<\/span>
\n    <\/span>that I remember all their evil deeds.<\/span><\/span>
\nTheir sins engulf them;<\/span>
\n    <\/span>they are always before me.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

3 <\/sup>\u201cThey delight the king with their wickedness,<\/span>
\n    <\/span>the princes with their lies.<\/span><\/span>
\n4 <\/sup>They are all adulterers,<\/span>
\n    <\/span>burning like an oven<\/span><\/span>
\nwhose fire the baker need not stir<\/span>
\n    <\/span>from the kneading of the dough till it rises.<\/span><\/span>
\n5 <\/sup>On the day of the festival of our king<\/span>
\n    <\/span>the princes become inflamed with wine,<\/span><\/span>
\n    <\/span>and he joins hands with the mockers.<\/span><\/span>
\n6 <\/sup>Their hearts are like an oven;<\/span>
\n    <\/span>they approach him with intrigue.<\/span><\/span>
\nTheir passion smolders all night;<\/span>
\n    <\/span>in the morning it blazes like a flaming fire.<\/span><\/span>
\n7 <\/sup>All of them are hot as an oven;<\/span>
\n    <\/span>they devour their rulers.<\/span><\/span>
\nAll their kings fall,<\/span>
\n    <\/span>and none of them calls on me.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

8 <\/sup>\u201cEphraim mixes with the nations;<\/span>
\nEphraim is a flat loaf not turned over.<\/span><\/span>
\n9 <\/sup>Foreigners sap his strength,<\/span>
\nbut he does not realize it.<\/span><\/span>
\nHis hair is sprinkled with gray,<\/span>
\nbut he does not notice.<\/span><\/span>
\n10 <\/sup>Israel\u2019s arrogance testifies against him,<\/span>
\nbut despite all this<\/span><\/span>
\nhe does not return to the Lord<\/span> his God<\/span>
\nor search for him.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
