Mark 2:13-17  (New American Standard Bible)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

13 <\/sup>And He went out again by the seashore; and all the people were coming to Him, and He was teaching them.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Levi (Matthew) Called<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

14 <\/sup>As He passed by, He saw Levi the son<\/i> of Alphaeus sitting in the tax booth, and He *said to him, \u201cFollow Me!\u201d<\/span> And he got up and followed Him.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

15 <\/sup>And it *happened that He was reclining at the table<\/i> in his house, and many tax collectors and sinners were dining with Jesus and His disciples; for there were many of them, and they were following Him.<\/span> 16 <\/sup>When the scribes of the Pharisees saw that He was eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they said to His disciples, \u201cWhy is He eating and drinking with tax collectors and sinners?\u201d<\/span> 17 <\/sup>And hearing this<\/i>, Jesus *said to them, \u201cIt is<\/i> not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick; I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
