Psalm 34:1-10  (New International Version)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Of David. When he pretended to be insane before Abimelek, who drove him away, and he left.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

1 <\/sup>I will extol the Lord<\/span> at all times;<\/span>
\n    <\/span>his praise will always be on my lips.<\/span><\/span>
\n2 <\/sup>I will glory in the Lord<\/span>;<\/span>
\n    <\/span>let the afflicted hear and rejoice.<\/span><\/span>
\n3 <\/sup>Glorify the Lord<\/span> with me;<\/span>
\n    <\/span>let us exalt his name together.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

4 <\/sup>I sought the Lord<\/span>, and he answered me;<\/span>
\n    <\/span>he delivered me from all my fears.<\/span><\/span>
\n5 <\/sup>Those who look to him are radiant;<\/span>
\n    <\/span>their faces are never covered with shame.<\/span><\/span>
\n6 <\/sup>This poor man called, and the Lord<\/span> heard him;<\/span>
\n    <\/span>he saved him out of all his troubles.<\/span><\/span>
\n7 <\/sup>The angel of the Lord<\/span> encamps around those who fear him,<\/span>

8 <\/sup>Taste and see that the Lord<\/span> is good;<\/span>
\n    <\/span>blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.<\/span><\/span>
\n9 <\/sup>Fear the Lord<\/span>, you his holy people,<\/span>
\n    <\/span>for those who fear him lack nothing.<\/span><\/span>
\n10 <\/sup>The lions may grow weak and hungry,<\/span>
\n    <\/span>but those who seek the Lord<\/span> lack no good thing.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

James 1:12-18  (New International Version)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n

12 <\/sup>Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.<\/span><\/p>\n

13 <\/sup>When tempted, no one should say, \u201cGod is tempting me.\u201d For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;<\/span> 14 <\/sup>but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.<\/span> 15 <\/sup>Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.<\/span><\/p>\n

16 <\/sup>Don\u2019t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters.<\/span> 17 <\/sup>Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.<\/span> 18 <\/sup>He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.<\/span><\/p>\n
