Isaiah 42:1-9  (English Standard Version)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
The Lord<\/span>‘s Chosen Servant<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h6>\n\n\n\n
\n

42 <\/span>Behold my servant, whom I uphold,<\/span><\/span>
\n    <\/span>my chosen, in whom my soul delights;<\/span><\/span>
\nI have put my Spirit upon him;<\/span>
\n    <\/span>he will bring forth justice to the nations.<\/span><\/span>
\n2 <\/sup>He will not cry aloud or lift up his voice,<\/span>
\n    <\/span>or make it heard in the street;<\/span><\/span>
\n3 <\/sup>a bruised reed he will not break,<\/span>
\n    <\/span>and a faintly burning wick he will not quench;<\/span><\/span>
\n    <\/span>he will faithfully bring forth justice.<\/span><\/span>

\n    <\/span>and spirit to those who walk in it:<\/span><\/span>
\n6 <\/sup>\u201cI am the Lord<\/span>; I have called you[b<\/a>]<\/sup> in righteousness;<\/span>
\n    <\/span>I will take you by the hand and keep you;<\/span><\/span>
\nI will give you as a covenant for the people,<\/span>
\n    <\/span>a light for the nations,<\/span><\/span>
\n7 <\/sup>    <\/span>to open the eyes that are blind,<\/span><\/span>
\nto bring out the prisoners from the dungeon,<\/span>
\n    <\/span>from the prison those who sit in darkness.<\/span><\/span>
\n8 <\/sup>I am the Lord<\/span>; that is my name;<\/span>
\n    <\/span>my glory I give to no other,<\/span><\/span>
\n    <\/span>nor my praise to carved idols.<\/span><\/span>
