Where: <\/strong> St. Paul\u2019s Parish Hall .<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lunch will be provided \u2013 you do not need to bring anything.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A table for cards and gifts will be provided.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Warning Against Neglecting Salvation<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 <\/span>Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.<\/span> 2 <\/sup>For since the message declared by angels proved to be reliable, and every transgression or disobedience received a just retribution,<\/span> 3 <\/sup>how shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was declared at first by the Lord, and it was attested to us by those who heard,<\/span> 4 <\/sup>while God also bore witness by signs and wonders and various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

5 <\/sup>For it was not to angels that God subjected the world to come, of which we are speaking.<\/span> 6 <\/sup>It has been testified somewhere,<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n    <\/span>or the son of man, that you care for him?<\/span><\/span>
\n7 <\/sup>You made him for a little while lower than the angels;<\/span>

Now in putting everything in subjection to him, he left nothing outside his control. At present, we do not yet see everything in subjection to him.<\/span> 9 <\/sup>But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pray for All People<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 <\/span>First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people,<\/span> 2 <\/sup>for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.<\/span> 3 <\/sup>This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior,<\/span> 4 <\/sup>who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.<\/span> 5 <\/sup>For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,<\/span> 6 <\/sup>who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.<\/span> 7 <\/sup>For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
