Genesis 46:1-7  (New King James Version)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Jacob\u2019s Journey to Egypt<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

46 <\/span>So Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac. <\/span>2 <\/sup>Then God spoke to Israel in the visions of the night, and said, \u201cJacob, Jacob!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And he said, \u201cHere I am.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

3 <\/sup>So He said, \u201cI am<\/i> God, the God of your father; do not fear to go down to Egypt, for I will make of you a great nation there. <\/span>4 <\/sup>I will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also surely bring you up again;<\/i> and Joseph will put his hand on your eyes.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

5 <\/sup>Then Jacob arose from Beersheba; and the sons of Israel carried their father Jacob, their little ones, and their wives, in the carts which Pharaoh had sent to carry him. <\/span>6 <\/sup>So they took their livestock and their goods, which they had acquired in the land of Canaan, and went to Egypt, Jacob and all his descendants with him. <\/span>7 <\/sup>His sons and his sons\u2019 sons, his daughters and his sons\u2019 daughters, and all his descendants he brought with him to Egypt.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

36 <\/sup>Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to the disciples, \u201cSit here while I go and pray over there.\u201d<\/span> <\/span>37 <\/sup>And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and He began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed. <\/span>38 <\/sup>Then He said to them, \u201cMy soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

39 <\/sup>He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, \u201cO My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.<\/i>\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

40 <\/sup>Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, \u201cWhat! Could you not watch with Me one hour?<\/span> <\/span>41 <\/sup>Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is<\/i> willing, but the flesh is<\/i> weak.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

42 <\/sup>Again, a second time, He went away and prayed, saying, \u201cO My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless<\/span> I drink it, Your will be done.\u201d<\/span> <\/span>43 <\/sup>And He came and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
