Luke 19:38-42  (English Standard Version)<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

38 <\/sup>\u201cBlessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!\u201d<\/span> 39 <\/sup>And some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him, \u201cTeacher, rebuke your disciples.\u201d<\/span> 40 <\/sup>He answered, \u201cI tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus Weeps over Jerusalem<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

41 <\/sup>And when he drew near and saw the city, he wept over it,<\/span> 42 <\/sup>saying, \u201cWould that you, even you, had known on this day the things that make for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Word Became Flesh<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 <\/span>In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.<\/span> 2 <\/sup>He was in the beginning with God.<\/span> 3 <\/sup>All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.<\/span> 4 <\/sup>In him was life, and the life was the light of men.<\/span> 5 <\/sup>The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

6 <\/sup>There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.<\/span> 7 <\/sup>He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him.<\/span> 8 <\/sup>He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

9 <\/sup>The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.<\/span> 10 <\/sup>He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him.<\/span> 11 <\/sup>He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him.<\/span> 12 <\/sup>But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,<\/span> 13 <\/sup>who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

14 <\/sup>And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
