In doing this He was fulfilling a prophecy that Zechariah gave about 500 years before (9:9), that the Messiah would go down to Jerusalem on a donkey. How do we know Jesus was from God? He fulfilled everything that the prophets wrote about the coming Messiah. Jesus never acted alone (John 5: 19), He always wanted to be about His Father&#8217;s business.
