Luke 16:10-13  (English Standard Version)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

10 <\/sup>\u201cOne who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.<\/span><\/span> 11 <\/sup>If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches?<\/span><\/span>12 <\/sup>And if you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?<\/span><\/span> 13 <\/sup>No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. Qualifications for Overseers<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

3 <\/span>The saying is trustworthy: If anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a noble task.<\/span> 2 <\/sup>Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife,sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,<\/span> 3 <\/sup>not a drunkard, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money.<\/span> 4 <\/sup>He must manage his own household well, with all dignity keeping his children submissive,<\/span> 5 <\/sup>for if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for God’s church?<\/span> 6 <\/sup>He must not be a recent convert, or he may become puffed up with conceit and fall into the condemnation of the devil.<\/span>7 <\/sup>Moreover, he must be well thought of by outsiders, so that he may not fall into disgrace, into a snare of the devil.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
