Tell the Coming Generation<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A Maskil of Asaph.<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
\n

78 <\/span>Give ear, O my people, to my teaching;<\/span><\/span>
\n    <\/span>incline your ears to the words of my mouth!<\/span><\/span>
\n2 <\/sup>I will open my mouth in a parable;<\/span>
\n    <\/span>I will utter dark sayings from of old,<\/span><\/span>
\n3 <\/sup>things that we have heard and known,<\/span>
\n    <\/span>that our fathers have told us.<\/span><\/span>
\n4 <\/sup>We will not hide them from their children,<\/span>
\n    <\/span>but tell to the coming generation<\/span><\/span>
\nthe glorious deeds of the Lord<\/span>, and his might,<\/span>
\n    <\/span>and the wonders that he has done.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Mustard Seed and the Leaven<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

31 <\/sup>He put another parable before them, saying, \u201cThe kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field.<\/span><\/span> 32 <\/sup>It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

33 <\/sup>He told them another parable. \u201cThe kingdom of heaven is like leaven that a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, till it was all leavened.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Parable of the Hidden Treasure<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

44 <\/sup>\u201cThe kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Parable of the Pearl of Great Value<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

45 <\/sup>\u201cAgain, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls,<\/span><\/span> 46 <\/sup>who, on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Parable of the Net<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

47 <\/sup>\u201cAgain, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was thrown into the sea and gathered fish of every kind.<\/span><\/span>48 <\/sup>When it was full, men drew it ashore and sat down and sorted the good into containers but threw away the bad.<\/span><\/span>49 <\/sup>So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come out and separate the evil from the righteous<\/span><\/span> 50 <\/sup>and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
