Psalm 8:5-9  (English Standard Version)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

5 <\/sup>Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings<\/span>
\n    <\/span>and crowned him with glory and honor.<\/span><\/span>
\n6 <\/sup>You have given him dominion over the works of your hands;<\/span>
\n    <\/span>you have put all things under his feet,<\/span><\/span>
\n7 <\/sup>all sheep and oxen,<\/span>
\n    <\/span>and also the beasts of the field,<\/span><\/span>
\n8 <\/sup>the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea,<\/span>

The Parable of the Talents<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n

14 <\/sup>\u201cFor it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servantsand entrusted to them his property.<\/span><\/span> 15 <\/sup>To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then hewent away.<\/span><\/span> 16 <\/sup>He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and he made five talents more.<\/span><\/span> 17 <\/sup>So also he who had the two talents made two talents more.<\/span><\/span> 18 <\/sup>But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his master’s money.<\/span><\/span>19 <\/sup>Now after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them.<\/span><\/span> 20 <\/sup>And he who had received the five talents came forward, bringing five talents more, saying, \u2018Master, you delivered to me five talents; here I have made five talents more.\u2019<\/span><\/span> 21 <\/sup>His master said to him, \u2018Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. You knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I scattered no seed?<\/span><\/span> 27 <\/sup>Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest.<\/span><\/span> 28 <\/sup>So take the talent from him and give it to him who has the ten talents.<\/span><\/span> 29 <\/sup>For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.<\/span><\/span> 30 <\/sup>And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.\u2019<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
