Now appoint for us a king to judge us like all the nations.\u201d<\/span><span id=\"en-ESV-7376\" class=\"text 1Sam-8-6\"><sup class=\"versenum\">6&nbsp;<\/sup>But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, \u201cGive us a king to judge us.\u201d And Samuel prayed to the <span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span>.<\/span> <span id=\"en-ESV-7377\" class=\"text 1Sam-8-7\"><sup class=\"versenum\">7&nbsp;<\/sup>And the <span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span> said to Samuel, \u201cObey the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me from being king over them.<\/span> <span id=\"en-ESV-7378\" class=\"text 1Sam-8-8\"><sup class=\"versenum\">8&nbsp;<\/sup>According to all the deeds that they have done, from the day I brought them up out of Egypt even to this day, forsaking me and serving other gods, so they are also doing to you.<\/span> <span id=\"en-ESV-7379\" class=\"text 1Sam-8-9\"><sup class=\"versenum\">9&nbsp;<\/sup>Now then, obey their voice; only you shall solemnly warn them and show them the ways of the king who shall reign over them.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><em><strong>Holy Communion:<\/strong><\/em><\/span><br>\nHoly Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of every month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><em><strong>Sunday School:<\/strong><\/em><\/span><br>\n10:00 \u2013 11:00 AM \u2013 in the Parish Hall Lower Level. A Children\u2019s Church program is available weekly on Sunday mornings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><em><strong>Nursery Ministry:<\/strong><\/em><\/span><br>\n10:00 \u2013 11:00 AM \u2013 in the Parish Hall Lower Level.
