and they chose Stephen,\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sending Missionaries &#8211; Acts 13:2-3: <\/strong>&nbsp;<sup>2&nbsp;<\/sup>While they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, \u201cSet apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.\u201d <sup>3&nbsp;<\/sup>Then, when they had fasted and prayed and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Acts 14:27:&nbsp; <\/strong>When they had arrived and gathered the church together, they <em>began<\/em> to report all things that God had done with them and how He had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Determining Theological Positions &#8211; Acts 15:22: <\/strong>Then it seemed good to the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men from among them to send to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas\u2014Judas called Barsabbas, and Silas, leading men among the brethren, <sup>23&nbsp;<\/sup>and they sent this letter by them,\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deciding Church Discipline &#8211; Matt. 18:17<\/strong>:&nbsp; If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Performing Excommunication &#8211; 1 Cor. 5:1-4:&nbsp; <\/strong>It is actually reported that there is immorality among you, and immorality of such a kind as does not exist even among the Gentiles, that someone has his father\u2019s wife. <sup>2&nbsp;<\/sup>You have become arrogant and have not mourned instead, so that the one who had done this deed would be removed from your midst.&nbsp; <sup>3&nbsp;<\/sup>For I, on my part, though absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged him who has so committed this, as though I were present. <sup>4&nbsp;<\/sup>In the name of our Lord Jesus, when you are assembled, and I with you in spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus,\u2026<\/p>\n<p class=\"line\"><strong>1 Pet. 2:5, 9:&nbsp; <\/strong><sup>5&nbsp;<\/sup>you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. <sup>6&nbsp;<\/sup>For <em>this<\/em> is contained in Scripture:&nbsp; \u201cBehold, I lay in Zion a choice stone, a precious corner <em>stone<\/em>, And he who believes in Him will not be disappointed.\u201d <sup>7&nbsp;<\/sup>This precious value, then, is for you who believe; but for those who disbelieve, \u201cThe stone which the builders rejected, This became the very corner <em>stone<\/em>,\u201d <sup>8&nbsp;<\/sup>and, \u201cA stone of stumbling and a rock of offense\u201d; for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this <em>doom<\/em> they were also appointed. <sup>9&nbsp;<\/sup>But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for <em>God\u2019s<\/em> own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;\u2026<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808000\"><em><strong>Sunday School:<\/strong><\/em><\/span><br>\n10:00 \u2013 11:00 AM \u2013 in the Parish Hall Lower Level.
