Psalm 36:5-9  (English Standard Version)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

5 <\/span><\/sup>Your steadfast love, O Lord<\/span>, extends to the heavens,
\n    <\/span>your faithfulness to the clouds.<\/span><\/span>
\n6 <\/sup><\/span>Your righteousness is like the mountains of God;<\/span>
\n    <\/span>your judgments are like the great deep;<\/span><\/span>
\n    <\/span>man and beast you save, O Lord<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

7 <\/sup><\/span>How precious is your steadfast love, O God!<\/span>
\n    <\/span>The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings.<\/span><\/span>
\n8 <\/span><\/sup>They feast on the abundance of your house,<\/span>
\n    <\/span>and you give them drink from the river of your delights.<\/span><\/span>
\n9 <\/span><\/sup>For with you is the fountain of life;<\/span>

John 4:1-14  (English Standard Version)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n

4 <\/span>Now when Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus was making and baptizing more disciples than John<\/span> 2 <\/span><\/sup>(although Jesus himself did not baptize, but only his disciples),<\/span> 3 <\/span><\/sup>he left Judea and departed again for Galilee.<\/span> 4 <\/sup><\/span>And he had to pass through Samaria.<\/span> 5 <\/span><\/sup>So he came to a town of Samaria called Sychar, near the field that Jacob had given to his son Joseph.<\/span> 6 <\/span><\/sup>Jacob’s well was there; so Jesus, wearied as he was from his journey, was sitting beside the well. It was about the sixth hour.<\/span><\/p>\n

7 <\/span><\/sup>A woman from Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, \u201cGive me a drink.\u201d<\/span><\/span> 8 <\/span><\/sup>(For his disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.)<\/span> 9 <\/span><\/sup>The Samaritan woman said to him, \u201cHow is it that you, a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a woman of Samaria?\u201d (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)<\/span> 10 <\/span><\/sup>Jesus answered her, \u201cIf you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, \u2018Give me a drink,\u2019 you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.\u201d<\/span><\/span> 11 <\/span><\/sup>The woman said to him, \u201cSir, you have nothing to draw water with, and the well is deep. Where do you get that living water?<\/span> 12 <\/sup><\/span>Are you greater than our father Jacob? He gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did his sons and his livestock.\u201d<\/span> 13 <\/span><\/sup>Jesus said to her, \u201cEveryone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again,<\/span><\/span> 14 <\/span><\/sup>but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
