Save Me, O God<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

\n

69 <\/span>Save me, O God!<\/span><\/span>
\n    <\/span>For the waters have come up to my neck.<\/span><\/span>
\n2 <\/span><\/sup>I sink in deep mire,<\/span>
\n    <\/span>where there is no foothold;<\/span><\/span>
\nI have come into deep waters,<\/span>
\n    <\/span>and the flood sweeps over me.<\/span><\/span>
\n3 <\/sup><\/span>I am weary with my crying out;<\/span>
\n    <\/span>my throat is parched.<\/span><\/span>
\nMy eyes grow dim<\/span>

12 <\/span><\/sup>After this he went down to Capernaum, with his mother and his brothers and his disciples, and they stayed there for a few days.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jesus Cleanses the Temple<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n

13 <\/sup><\/span>The Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.<\/span> 14 <\/sup><\/span>In the temple he found those who were selling oxen and sheep and pigeons, and the money-changers sitting there.<\/span> 15 <\/span><\/sup>And making a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and oxen. And he poured out the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables.<\/span> 16 <\/span><\/sup>And he told those who sold the pigeons, \u201cTake these things away; do not make my Father’s house a house of trade.\u201d<\/span><\/span> 17 <\/span><\/sup>His disciples remembered that it was written, \u201cZeal for your house will consume me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

18 <\/span><\/sup>So the Jews said to him, \u201cWhat sign do you show us for doing these things?\u201d<\/span> 19 <\/span><\/sup>Jesus answered them, \u201cDestroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.\u201d<\/span><\/span> 20 <\/span><\/sup>The Jews then said, \u201cIt has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?\u201d<\/span> 21 <\/span><\/sup>But he was speaking about the temple of his body.<\/span> 22 <\/span><\/sup>When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jesus Knows What Is in Man<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n

23 <\/span><\/sup>Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many believed in his name when they saw the signs that he was doing.<\/span> 24 <\/span><\/sup>But Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people<\/span> 25 <\/span><\/sup>and needed no one to bear witness about man, for he himself knew what was in man.<\/span><\/p>\n
