Matthew 21:1-14  (English Standard Version)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Triumphal Entry<\/em>
\n21 Now when they drew near to Jerusalem and came to Bethphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, 2 saying to them, \u201cGo into the village in front of you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Untie them and bring them to me. 3 If anyone says anything to you, you shall say, \u2018The Lord needs them,\u2019 and he will send them at once.\u201d 4 This took place to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet, saying,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5 \u201cSay to the daughter of Zion,
\n\u2018Behold, your king is coming to you,
\nhumble, and mounted on a donkey,
\non a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.\u2019\u201d
\n6 The disciples went and did as Jesus had directed them. 7 They brought the donkey and the colt and put on them their cloaks, and he sat on them. 8 Most of the crowd spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. 9 And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, \u201cHosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!\u201d 10 And when he entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred up, saying, \u201cWho is this?\u201d 11 And the crowds said, \u201cThis is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus Cleanses the Temple<\/em>
\n12 And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all who sold and bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons. 13 He said to them, \u201cIt is written, \u2018My house shall be called a house of prayer,\u2019 but you make it a den of robbers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

John 2:1-11  (English Standard Version)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Wedding at Cana<\/em>
\n2 On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. 2 Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples. 3 When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, \u201cThey have no wine.\u201d 4 And Jesus said to her, \u201cWoman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.\u201d 5 His mother said to the servants, \u201cDo whatever he tells you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6 Now there were six stone water jars there for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons. 7 Jesus said to the servants, \u201cFill the jars with water.\u201d And they filled them up to the brim. 8 And he said to them, \u201cNow draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.\u201d So they took it. 9 When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom 10 and said to him, \u201cEveryone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.\u201d 11 This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
