Continuing the Study of the Gospel of John (Chapter 1)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Annual Congregational Meeting will follow the morning worship service.  Please plan to stay for this short meeting.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Matthew 17:1-9  (English Standard Version)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

17 <\/span>And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James, and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain by themselves.<\/span> 2 <\/span><\/sup>And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light.<\/span> 3 <\/span><\/sup>And behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, talking with him.<\/span> 4 <\/span><\/sup>And Peter said to Jesus, \u201cLord, it is good that we are here. If you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.\u201d<\/span> 5 <\/span><\/sup>He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, \u201cThis is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.\u201d<\/span> 6 <\/span><\/sup>When the disciples heard this, they fell on their faces and were terrified.<\/span> 7 <\/span><\/sup>But Jesus came and touched them, saying, \u201cRise, and have no fear.\u201d<\/span><\/span> 8 <\/span><\/sup>And when they lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

9 <\/sup><\/span>And as they were coming down the mountain, Jesus commanded them, \u201cTell no one the vision, until the Son of Man is raised from the dead.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noisy Offering:<\/strong><\/em>
\n<\/span> A collection of coins by the children for missions is part of the worship service the last Sunday of every month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n<\/span> 10:00 \u2013 11:00 AM \u2013 in the Parish Hall Lower Level. A Children\u2019s Church program is available weekly on Sunday mornings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
