Psalm 90:1-8,12  (World English Bible)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A Prayer by Moses, the man of God.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

90 Lord, you have been our dwelling place for all generations.
\n2 Before the mountains were born,
\nbefore you had formed the earth and the world,
\neven from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.
\n3 You turn man to destruction, saying,
\n\u201cReturn, you children of men.\u201d
\n4 For a thousand years in your sight are just like yesterday when it is past,
\nlike a watch in the night.
\n5 You sweep them away as they sleep.
\nIn the morning they sprout like new grass.
\n6 In the morning it sprouts and springs up.
\nBy evening, it is withered and dry.
\n7 For we are consumed in your anger.
\nWe are troubled in your wrath.
\n8 You have set our iniquities before you,
\nour secret sins in the light of your presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

12 So teach us to number our days,
\nthat we may gain a heart of wisdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4 We know, brothers loved by God, that you are chosen, 5 and that our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and with much assurance. You know what kind of men we showed ourselves to be among you for your sake. 6 You became imitators of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit, 7 so that you became an example to all who believe in Macedonia and in Achaia. 8 For from you the word of the Lord has been declared, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out; so that we need not to say anything. 9 For they themselves report concerning us what kind of a reception we had from you; and how you turned to God from idols, to serve a living and true God, 10 and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead\u2014Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
