15 Man is humbled, and each one is brought low,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and the eyes of the haughty are brought low.
\n16 But the Lord of hosts is exalted in justice,
\nand the Holy God shows himself holy in righteousness.
\n17 Then shall the lambs graze as in their pasture,
\nand nomads shall eat among the ruins of the rich.
\n18 Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of falsehood,
\nwho draw sin as with cart ropes,
\n19 who say: \u201cLet him be quick,
\nlet him speed his work
\nthat we may see it;
\nlet the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw near,
\nand let it come, that we may know it!\u201d
\n20 Woe to those who call evil good
\nand good evil,
\nwho put darkness for light
\nand light for darkness,
\nwho put bitter for sweet
\nand sweet for bitter!
\n21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes,
\nand shrewd in their own sight!
\n22 Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine,
\nand valiant men in mixing strong drink,
\n23 who acquit the guilty for a bribe,
\nand deprive the innocent of his right!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In both of them I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder, 2 that you should remember the predictions of the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles, 3 knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
