Jeremiah 28:5-9  (English Standard Version)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

5 <\/span><\/sup>Then the prophet Jeremiah spoke to Hananiah the prophet in the presence of the priests and all the people who were standing in the house of the Lord<\/span>,<\/span> 6 <\/span><\/sup>and the prophet Jeremiah said, \u201cAmen! May the Lord<\/span> do so; may the Lord<\/span> make the words that you have prophesied come true, and bring back to this place from Babylon the vessels of the house of the Lord<\/span>, and all the exiles.<\/span> 7 <\/span><\/sup>Yet hear now this word that I speak in your hearing and in the hearing of all the people.<\/span> 8 <\/sup><\/span>The prophets who preceded you and me from ancient times prophesied war, famine, and pestilence against many countries and great kingdoms.<\/span> 9 <\/sup><\/span>As for the prophet who prophesies peace, when the word of that prophet comes to pass, then it will be known that the Lord<\/span> has truly sent the prophet.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matthew 10:34-42  (English Standard Version)<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

34 <\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u201cDo not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.<\/span><\/span> 35 <\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/strong>For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.<\/span><\/span> 36 <\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/strong>And a person’s enemies will be those of his own household.<\/span><\/span> 37 <\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/strong>Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.<\/span><\/span> 38 <\/span><\/strong><\/sup>And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.<\/span><\/span> 39 <\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/strong>Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rewards<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

40 <\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u201cWhoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me.<\/span><\/span> 41 <\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/strong>The one who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and the one who receives a righteous person because he is a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward.<\/span><\/span> 42 <\/span><\/strong><\/sup>And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noisy Offering:<\/strong><\/em><\/span>
\n<\/span>A collection of coins by the children for missions is part of the worship service the last Sunday of every month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
