Sermon 3/10/2024: “Opulent Love”

Listen here: “Opulent Love

John 3:14-21; Ephesians 2:1-10

God was teaching the people about faith. It is totally illogical to think that looking at a bronze image could heal anyone from snakebite, but that is exactly what God told them to do.

  • Here we see that the people must look at or confront or admit or confess their own sin as a prerequisite to salvation.
  • If you don’t think you sin, you don’t think you need salvation.
  • But here’s the thing: We are currently face to face with an opportunity, an opportunity that comes because of the increasing light of Christ in our world.
  • Just as individual confession of sin opens the door of salvation, so national confession of sin will open the door to national healing.
