Listen here” Possession“
Isaiah 40:21-31; Mark 1:29-39
This is a grand section of Scripture that gives us hope and encouragement because, in spite of our sin and insignificance, God provides strength, hope, purpose, and direction to His people.
- And how does God give people strength, hope, purpose, and direction? He inhabits them. He creates life habits in them that produce strength, hope, purpose, and direction.
- And this is precisely what Jesus was doing.
- The idea of demon possession has a long and complex history. Exactly what it is, is unknown because the Greek word is general and not specific. It includes a lot of different ideas.
- The general sense is that it indicates someone who is not in their “right mind.”
