Sermon 11/5/2023: “The Fork”

Listen Here: “The Fork

Micah 3:5-12; 1 Thessalonians 2:9-13

  • Judgment. Over the past 50 years or so the world (education, media, etc.) have taught that we should not judge, that judging others is wrong and hurtful. We’ve been teaching self-esteem, that we need to be proud of ourselves.
    • Pride has gone from being the chief sin to being a term of celebration, delight, and dignity.
    • Being unfaithful means being on your own. But faithfulness means that Jesus is with you. Jesus sent His Holy Spirit to abide with us, to show us how and to give us the strength to do it all.
    • We are weak, but the Holy Spirit is strong. We are unable, but the Spirit is able.
