Listen here: “Wisdom and Folly“
- This week we see that there is an issue when it comes to hearing and responding to God. That issue is about the difference between wisdom and foolishness.
- Not everything we hear is the voice of God. Not every thought we think comes from God. We must learn to discern the difference between what is godly and what is not.
- Paul was writing to the Corinthians. Corinth was a Greek city, so Paul was writing to the Greeks. And to this day the model of academia is Greek. Greek philosophy, Greek ways of analysis guide academia still today.
- This means that today Paul would call much of what academics do “foolishness.” I agree.
