Listen Here: “Think Again“
1 Corinthians 1:10-18; Matthew 4:12-23
To think alike, to have the same mind doesn’t mean being identical. Rather, it means having the same values and commitments. This is an important point because all Christians are to be in union with Christ, to be one with Christ. But that does not mean that we become Christ, or that we are equivalent to Christ.
The point of all of this is that Christians can have unity in Christ without all having the same experiences and memories. We will all describe our relationship with Christ in different ways—and that’s jut the reality of human life. It’s not a problem until we begin quarreling about it. The problem Paul was addressing was not their different experiences and memories, their different perspectives that led to different explanations.
